Jaymee Fiset kept pounding rockets at the Rockettes.
Fiset tallied four times to lead the Main Street Mayhem to a 6-3 win over Wright Physiotherapy Rockettes in Borderland Women’s Indoor Soccer League action last night.
Jessica Wilson and Katie Stearns each scored once for the second-place Mayhem (5-2-1), which won its third-straight and widened its lead to nine points over the third-place Rockettes (2-5-1).
Abby Sanders, Julie Simard, and Jess Badiuk replied for the Rockettes, who now have dropped two in a row.
Last night’s other game saw the first-place Boston Pizza Ball Blasters (7-1) cruised to a 5-0 win over the last-place U15 Borderland Lightning (1-7).
The game was halted early due to the five-goal mercy rule.
Maggie Jean riddled the Lightning defence for a hat trick to hit the 20-goal mark and grab the league goal-scoring lead—one ahead of teammate Sydney Radigan and Fiset.
Radigan and Mary Waghorn also scored for Boston Pizza.
League action resumes next Wednesday with the Mayhem and Blasters squaring off at 7 p.m.
The late game will feature the Lightning and Rockettes.
