Colton Spicer took care of business at one end of the field while James Pavier had things under control on the other.
Spicer netted the game’s lone marker while Pavier earned the shutout as Manitou Forest Products blanked the La Place Rendez-Vous U18 Voyageurs 1-0 last night in Borderland Soccer League men’s division action.
Manitou (2-0-1) stretched its lead atop the standings with the win.
Justin Angus took the loss in goal for the Voyageurs (1-1), who remained tied for second place with International Travel Services (0-0-2).
On Wednesday, ITS and Pharmasave (0-2-1) played to a 1-1 draw.
Tyler Hamm scored for ITS while Isaac Firth replied for Pharmasave.
The men’s division had its first two-game evening of the season on Tuesday.
Adam Stromberg and Liam Metke bulged the twine for the Voyageurs in a 2-0 win over Pharmasave.
The other game saw Manitou and ITS renew their rivalry from last year’s final, with the teams battling to a 1-1 tie.
Garnett Cornell scored for ITS, which beat Manitou in the final last year, while Mitch Breton replied for Manitou.
Action resumes this Tuesday (June 16) at 7 p.m. with Pharmasave facing Manitou and the Vous playing ITS.
Then Wednesday’s game will feature Manitou versus ITS.
