Four local residents headed over the border to run in the annual Twin Cities Marathon in Minneapolis over the weekend.
Lorne Ricard ran the full marathon in a time of 3:22.00 to finish 585th out of 8,000 runners.
“I go every year,” he enthused.
His wife, Maureen, and son, Ricky, took part in the five-km event, finishing in times of 35 minutes and 25 minutes respectively.
Meanwhile, Don DeBenedet ran the 10-mile event in 1:12.00.
“[Don and I] are just getting ready to run the Chicago marathon in a couple of weeks,” noted Ricard. “It is close but we will see how it goes.”
