A pair of local players will be suiting up for a chance to represent Ontario at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.
Donovan Cousineau of Fort Frances, who played for the Muskies last season, and Devlin’s Robbie Rea, who wore a Thunder Bay Kings’ uniform, will attend the tryouts in Oshawa in July.
Cousineau and Rea were two of just seven players who advanced from the regional tryouts, which were held in Thunder Bay back in April.
The World Under-17 Hockey Challenge is slated for Dec. 29- Jan. 4 in Winnipeg.
Team Ontario won the event in 2008 and 2009 before falling to Team USA in this year’s final.
