Mike Gurski of Fort Frances, co-owner of “Ram Connection” here, is among the lineup of outdoor enthusiasts to be featured in this month’s edition of “Fish-Fur-Game” magazine.
The article highlights the “Ram” power snare system Gurski and his wife, Sharon, sell in their wildlife supply control centre located in the Crozier Warehouse.
Gurski was interviewed by American freelance writer Bob Noonan earlier this year while checking his bush trapline, where he uses the Ram system.
“I am quite proud because as a kid, I used to read this magazine all the time,” Gurski said Monday evening. “Now to be in it–that’s kind of neat.”
“This is very exciting for us,” echoed Sharon Gurski, noting the article already had spurred countless queries from American trappers interested in the power snare.
“It’s a major, major [step] for our industry,” she added.
The Gurskis got into the wildlife control business about a year ago when they purchased a portion of “Bertram Trap Ltd.” from Manitoba resident Bruce Bertram, manufacturer and inventor of the “Ram.”
They have distribution rights for the power snare in Eastern Canada and the United States.
Other articles by Noonan on Gurski are to be published in future editions of “Trapper and Predator Caller” and “American Trapper” magazines.
