Local runners compete

Several local runners made the trip to Embarrass, Mn. over the weekend to participate in the 22nd-annual “Flying Finn” 10-km run.
Don DeBenedet and Megan Ross came in first in their respective age divisions. DeBenedet completed the race in a time of 42 minutes, 43 minutes while Ross crossed the finish line in 53:16.
Guy Mudge completed the course in 53:45, Bob Tkachuk came in at 55:16, and Doris Barton finished in 1:01:29.
Mary-Beth Tkachuk competed in a three-mile walk event there, covering the distance in 42 minutes, 34 seconds.
