A Fort Frances curling team is looking for the community’s help in its quest to bring home a provincial championship title.
Skipped by Jordon Bazylewski, the rink also includes Ben Olson (third), Brett Schram (second), and Kian McEvoy (lead).
At the start of the season, the squad had made plans to compete to the best of their ability in hopes of earning a provincial berth.
But as they were unsure of their abilities, they held off on obtaining any sponsorships.
After winning both of their matches at the U18 West regional playdowns in Keewatin back on Feb. 2-3, which saw them beat Andre Morin of Red Lake 12-2 and 7-4, the rink is more confident as it heads to the provincials March 7-11 in New Liskeard.
In return for a minimum sponsorship, the squad is offering multiple advertising opportunities.
Team Bazylewski, in a demonstration of its gratitude, will offer sponsors a space for the respective name on their jackets.
Space is limited, however, and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
To make a contribution, interested sponsors can send their donation to the Fort Frances Curling Club at 301 Eighth St. or deliver it in person made payable to Charlotte Bazylewski, who is the team’s coach.
The squad would like to send many thanks in advance of your sponsorship.
Team Bazylewski also competes in the local men’s Twilight league on Thursdays at 5 p.m., and everyone is welcome to come out and watch.
As well, you can follow the rink’s endeavours by visiting the Team Bazylewski Facebook page.
