Local dirt riders solid in season finale


Another Superior Dirt Riders season has come and gone.
Local riders put in a solid showing at the sixth-and-final stop of the season in Atikokan on Saturday.
Dylan Tessier of Devlin had the top finish out of the local contingent, placing second in the 85cc 12-16 age category.
He also nabbed fourth in the Super-Mini division.
Kali Tessier of Devlin placed fifth in the 65cc 7-11 age category while Ozzy Hanson of Fort Frances was seventh.
In the 85cc 7-11 category, Blake Kreger of Emo rode to a fifth-place finish while Landon Flinders of Fort Frances was sixth, Alex Kreger was eighth, and Tessier was 10th.
Flinders finished 10th in the Super-Minis while Blake Kreger was 12th and Alex Kreger was 13th.
Brandon Croswell of Emo grabbed fourth in the Schoolboy division with Cole Kreger just behind in fifth.
John Gavel of Emo finished seventh in the MX3 Junior category.
Trevor Croswell of Emo nabbed 12th in the MX3 Open division, with Brandon Croswell right behind in 13th, Cole Kreger was 15th, and Gavel was 16th.
And in the Vet 40 category, Trevor Croswell grabbed a third-place finish while John Gavel was fifth.
