Local Bantams thump Dryden

The Fort Frances Bantam ‘AA’ rep team thumped visiting Dryden in a physical battle at the ‘Ice for Kids’ arena here last weekend.
Scott Bridgeman, assisted by Andrew George, put the Fort squad up 1-0 in the first.
But after Ian Lockman (assisted by Cody Mosbeck and Eric Mosbeck) gave the Fort a 2-0 lead in the second frame, Dryden roared back with a pair of goals by Brian Mulyk and Joe Harding to knot the score at 2-2.
But it was shortlived. George made it 3-2, followed by another goal by Bridgeman only moments later to give the Fort pucksters a two-goal cushion.
Terry Kellar then scored his lone goal of the game (assisted by Greg Flewelling and Lockman) late in the second to make it 5-2 heading into the final frame.
Dryden got one back when Joey Pell opened the scoring in the third period but Eric Mosbeck put the game out of reach with a pair of goals, with an assist by Lockman.
Harding later got his second goal for Dryden to round out the scoring.
