Fort Frances Lakers forward Lyndon Lipinski earned the final Pizza Hut player of the week award for 2013 after racking up 11 points in three Laker wins before league action halted until it resumes on Jan. 3.
The 20-year-old native of Grande Prairie, Alta., used his big week to move in to second place in the league in assists with 30, while also sitting fourth on the circuit with 49 points in 31 games this year.
The first-place Lakers (26-3-0-2) will carry a four-game winning streak into the new year when it faces the fifth-place English River Miners (14-14-3) in Ear Falls this Friday.
The two teams will finish the home-and-home series on Saturday at the Ice for Kids Arena at 7:30 p.m.
