After losing both their games last week to inclement weather, the Sight & Sound Wolves still were struck by Lightning on Tuesday night.
Big Grassy nipped the Fort Frances-based squad 2-1 to improve to 7-3 on the season.
Jeff Morrison earned the win while Bob Andy was tagged with the loss for the Wolves (4-4).
In other RRDFL action Tuesday night, Kevin Gemmell belted a pair of homers to lift Barwick (9-2) over the Big Grassy Braves 11-2.
J.J. Landry earned the win while Travis Tom took the loss for the Braves (6-4).
Rainy River, meanwhile, edged Stratton 3-2, with Murray Armstrong garnering the win for the Royals (5-3).
Guy Arpin suffered the loss for the Eagles (3-5).
Elsewhere, Sabaskong (8-1) blanked the Big Island 13-0—one night after the Huskies (1-9) earned their first win of the season.
Gus Copenace was on the mound for the Cubs while Reuben Gibbins countered for Big Island.
Don Copenace had a pair of homers to pace Sabaskong.
Lastly, Northwest Bay (3-7) downed Manitou 11-5, with Sean Councillor pitching the victory.
Elvis Debungee took the loss for Manitou (2-8).
Play resumes tonight with five games on tap (weather permitting).
The Wolves will host the Big Grassy Braves at VanJura while the Lightning entertain Sabaskong.
Barwick visits Manitou, Rainy River travels to Big Island, and Northwest Bay plays in Stratton.
