Leafs fall in Kenora

The Holmlund Leafs went to Kenora for a weekend tournament.
They opened play Friday with a 2-2 tie against the Kenora Flyers on goals by Jacob Dokuchie and Danielle Jean.
In their second game later that day, the Leafs nipped Houseboat Adventures (Kenora) by a 4-3 score.
Ryan Mosbeck led the way with a hat trick while Jean netted the other goal (all in the second period).
Caitlyn Williams notched both goals for Kenora in the third, but the comeback came up short.
Holmlund then met the Dryden Leafs and allowed three unanswered goals in the third period to lose 5-4.
The second period was where Holmlund made things happen again—getting goals from Mosbeck, Alex Wells, Sam Berube, and Pete Windigo.
That loss relegated the Leafs to the ‘B’ side, where they missed advancing to the final with a 4-1 loss to Emo Esso.
Mosbeck had the lone goal for Holmlund while Logan Jackson (two), Jadan Smith, and Brandon McInnis replied for Emo.
