They’re not perfect anymore but still virtually unstoppable—at least so far.
How I Set Your Mother had its six-week run of six-point nights snapped last night, but still managed earned five out of six to remain comfortably in first place in the Fort Frances Women’s Volleyball League standings with 41 points.
That’s actually a one-point improvement on its lead from a week ago as second-place That’s What She Set only nabbed four last night to move up to 34.
One point back in third is No Diggity, one of four teams to chalk up a spotless six-point evening.
Two others in that group included Scared Hitless and Gillons’, who remained tied for fourth (27).
Let’s Talk About Sets also nabbed six points to jump into a tie for sixth place with Bump it Up (25), although the score for Bump it Up’s match against We Could Carry Less was not reported as of press time.
After that, it’s a long drop to eighth place, where We Could Carry Less (11) was one point ahead of ninth-place Wild Sets (10), who were skunked last night.
Also getting blanked were I’d Hit That in 10th (eight) and Rockstars in 11th (four).
Sloppy Set defaulted both its matches last night and remaing stuck in last place with one point.
Action resumes next Thursday (Nov. 5) at 7 p.m. at Fort High and St. Michael’s.
