The accolades continue to roll in for first-year Fort Frances Lakers’ forward Jordan Larson.
The 16-year-old Fort Frances native yesterday was named to the Team West roster for the upcoming CJHL prospects games, which will take place this weekend in Langley, B.C.
Larson, who currently leads the SIJHL in scoring with 37 points, is the lone SIJHL rep on Team West and also will be the youngest player on the 20-man roster.
The games between Team West and Team East are slated for Saturday at 4 p.m. (PST) and Sunday at noon (PST).
This year’s prospects games, which usually are attended by many NHL scouts, are taking place in conjunction with the World Jr. ‘A’ Challenge, which got underway yesterday in Langley.
Earlier this season, Larson and Lakers’ teammate Ryan Wildman attended a Canada West evaluation camp in Canmore, Alta. but were not invited back to the main training camp to make the squad for the World Jr. ‘A’ Challenge.
