Lakers visiting schools

Staff

The Fort Frances Lakers are making appearances in classrooms near you.
Players have been split up into four groups, each led by one of the on-ice captains, and have been visiting local schools.
The players are speaking to the students about both education and sports, reading to them as well as talking about the benefits of regular physical activity.
St. Michael’s, Huffman, J.W. Walker, and Robert Moore all are participating in the program.
School visits began Jan. 11 and will continue on a weekly basis until Feb. 15.
The Lakers also have donated 50 youth tickets per school for the players to give out to children during their visits.
