The Fort Frances Lakers have brought in another new face to help bolster their offensive attack for the coming SIJHL season, sigining Moosonee, Ont. forward Brennan Nesrallah.
The six-foot, 170-pound forward, who will be celebrate his 18th birthday this Sunday, spent the last two years with the Kapuskasing Agrium Flyers of the GNML, where he had 29 goals and 20 assists last season.
“Brennan will bring finesse and power to the Lakers’ lineup as his numbers show that he can produce offensively, and he is not afraid to play that power game and be aggressive,” noted Lakers’ head coach and general manager Wayne Strachan.
“He was recommended highly by his coach from last season [Glen Denney], and we are hoping that he will continue a trend of good luck with players from the GNML that we have had with Byron Katapaytuk and Ryan Wildman,” Strachan added.
Nesrallah joins Quebec-based forward Mathew Chasse as the two fresh faces who have been signed so far this off-season for the Lakers.
The local Junior ‘A’ club also has signed returning forward Jordan Christianson and goalie Tanner Hamilton.
