The Fort Frances Lakers will have a chance to fine-tune their systems before kicking off the 2012/13 SIJHL regular season on Sept. 26.
The local Junior ‘A’ squad will hit the ice for four exhibition games, starting on Friday, Sept. 7 at 7:30 p.m. when the Dryden Ice Dogs come to town.
The two teams then will square off in Dryden the following night.
Local hockey fans will get their first look at the Minnesota Wilderness on Saturday, Sept. 15 when the two-time league champs visit for a 7:30 p.m. tilt.
The Wilderness, who moved from Spooner, Wis. to Cloquet during the off-season, then will welcome the Lakers to their new home the next afternoon.
