Lakers continue to build powerful roster

FORT FRANCES, ON – The Fort Frances Lakers are pleased to announce the signing of Pierce Gouin.

The 5’9, 154-pound forward from International Falls split his time last season with the NAPHL’s Minnesota Wilderness U18 AAA program, and Duluth Marshall High School.

Gouin posted five points in eight games for the Wilderness, and 40 points in 27 games for Duluth Marshall.

Minnesota resident Pierce Gouin will be joining the Fort Frances Lakers line-up this year. The team is being stacked with talent, by this year’s coaching staff. They kick off the season this weekend, with the first home game scheduled for September 29. Plan to bring the family out for a great season of junior A hockey. – Submitted photo

“We are looking forward to Pierce joining us in Fort Frances,” said Lakers General Manager, Luke Judson. “He’s a talented skater with scoring ability who will be an instant contributor on offense.”
