After placing second last year at the Atikokan Bass Classic, the Thunder Bay duo of Trevor Zimak and Glenn Leroux won the event this past weekend with a two-day total of 42.08 pounds.
They were followed by Todd and Steve Bryk (40.29 pounds), Kim and Aaron Wiens (40.02), Tammy and Jason Mattson (39.22), and local duo Doug McBride and Morgan Cadene (38.63).
Rounding out the top 10 were Gary and Kyle Potter (37.77 pounds), Laverne Haney and Mark Warren (36.79), Dave and Kathy Warren (35.80), Mike Krassey and Jason Dragan (35.71), and another local team, Luc Levesque and Mike Gerstner (35.43).
Tammy and Jason Mattson won the big fish prize on the Friday for reeling in a 6.5-pounder.
Kreg and Monty Groulx earned it Saturday with a 5.93-pound lunker.
