Lady Voyageurs split games


The La Place Rendez-Vous Voyageurs girls’ under-18 team found some offence against Taggs in Borderland Soccer Association action Tuesday night, scoring an 8-0 victory.
Wynona Kavanaugh led the way with four goals while Courtney Roach added a hat trick.
Jessica Caul rounded out the scoring in support of keeper Nicole Horne, who earned the shutout.
But the Voyageurs could not keep it going last night, falling 5-3 to Boston Pizza.
Laureen Peters tallied four times for the victors, with Sarah Gould chipping in one.
Sara Coish replied twice for the Voyageurs while Kavanaugh got the other goal.
In men’s action, the under-18 Voyageurs also played back-to-back nights, falling in both games.
On Tuesday, Pharmasave earned a 4-1 win thanks to a pair of goals by Craig McTavish and singles from Josiah Morris and Jeremy Nussbaumer.
Then last night, Sarah Noonan and Chad Faragher netted goals as Manitou Forest Products earned a 2-1 win.
