The annual Ladies Open golf tournament at Kitchen Creek Golf Course was a success on Saturday despite the heavy rain from the night before.
Pro shop manager Glen Kellar said that it was really well attended, all things considered.
β€œIt turned out well for the weather conditions we had,” he remarked.
Some 34 golfers competed in the β€œtwo-person, best ball” format.
Megan Ross and Krista Ballard shot a 68 to finish in first place, followed by Rita Woodland and Mary Ducharme in second (83).
Faye Flatt and Michelle Poirier took third (86).
Ross and Bonnie Koskins won the β€œclosest to pin” competitions while the β€œlongest drive” went to Rose O’Connor.
