The annual Ladies Open golf tournament at Kitchen Creek Golf Course was a success on Saturday despite the heavy rain from the night before.
Pro shop manager Glen Kellar said that it was really well attended, all things considered.
“It turned out well for the weather conditions we had,” he remarked.
Some 34 golfers competed in the “two-person, best ball” format.
Megan Ross and Krista Ballard shot a 68 to finish in first place, followed by Rita Woodland and Mary Ducharme in second (83).
Faye Flatt and Michelle Poirier took third (86).
Ross and Bonnie Koskins won the “closest to pin” competitions while the “longest drive” went to Rose O’Connor.
