Ladies bonspiel starts tomorrow

The 54th ladies’ bonspiel is set to take place this weekend (Feb. 23-25) at the Fort Frances Curling Club.
Twenty-six teams will compete in the three-day event for the right to be crowned the top local women’s rink.
The top six teams will advance to the playoff round Sunday and compete for the ‘A’, ‘B,’ and ‘C’ division championships.
Club manager Rick Grenda said fans can expect an exciting weekend of curling.
“They can expect some really good curling from the ladies,” he remarked. “The ladies also really know how to party, so it’s definitely going to be a good time.”
The public is invited to come out and watch all the curling action, and also are welcome to attend the post-banquet party—featuring a DJ and dancing—on Saturday beginnning at 9 p.m.
