Kitchen Creek ladies wrap up season

The Kitchen Creek ladies held their annual wind-up banquet last Tuesday (Sept. 26), enjoying a great turkey dinner put on by Chef Ryan and his staff.
Along with year-end reports from executive members, Dana Kosowick announced winners for the 18- and nine-hole ringer boards:
•1st flight—1. Donna Gustafson and Joyce Flatt 2. Rita Woodland and Kris Krag;
•2nd flight—1. Rosemary Haglund and Norma Carter 2. Evelyn Rawn and Marg Bogacki; and
•3rd flight—1. Wendy Judson and Janice Jewiss 2. Sharon DeBenedet and Mary-Beth Tkachuk
Sandra Gosselin presented Krista Ballard with the Nonnie Reid Trophy, which is awarded to the golfer with the most improved handicap results.
Draw prizes were won by Elsie Doucette, Marg Bogacki, Arlene Georgeson, Evelyn Rawn, and Joanne Gosselin.
Special thanks goes out to Diana’s Embroidery for her donation.
With the ladies’ division winding up for the summer, a new executive was also voted in for the 2006-07 season. They include Megan Ross (president), Barb Asplund (secretary), and Leslie Baird (treasurer).
Rounding out the executive are Meg Ross and Krista Ballard (sports captain), Sandra Gosselin (handicap), Arlene Georgeson (social and publicity), Dana Kosowick (ringer board), and Barb Asplund (tournament chair).
Kitchen Creek manager Donna Lee reported on the overall year for the club and made suggestions for next year for the ladies.
The monthly ladies’ scrambles were a huge success and hopefully will return next year.
If anyone is interested in information, membership, or assisting anyone on the executive, call the pro shop at 274-GOLF (4653) or contact any member of the ladies’ executive.
Hope to see you all again in the spring.
