The local skip and his rink of third Cody Ossachuk, second Cody Heyens, and lead Ian Grant fell 12-3 to Jack Lindsay (St. George’s Golf and Country Club).
The curling competition continues through to tomorrow, with the final draw beginning at 10 a.m.
Meanwhile, the regional squash team begins its portion of the Winter Games with three matches today in Sudbury.
Team Northwestern will face squads from Ottawa, Toronto, and Northern Ontario today.
Local athletes on the team include Mike Brady and Anniss Seid for the boys and Kaitlyn DeGagne, Angel McCormack, and Anika Alexander for the girls.
