The Muskie junior girls’ volleyball team split themselves up in an attempt to conquer over the weekend in Dryden.
The split squads finished first and second in their respective pools.
Team “Black” fell in the first round of the playoffs to Sir Winston Churchill’s ‘A’ team 2-0 (25-13 and 25-16).
Team “Gold” advanced a bit further, sweeping both Churchill teams 2-0 before running into Portage Collegiate in the semi-finals.
After losing the first set, “Gold” battled to even the match but then fell 28-26 in the final set to bow out of the tournament.
In NorWOSSA action last Thursday, the juniors fell to 0-5 on the season after being swept 25-20, 25-17, and 25-20 by visiting Dryden.
The senior Muskies also were swept by the Eagles, losing 25-17, 25-11, and 25-16 to sink to 3-2 on the season.
