Judson leaves LU

Emo native Luke Judson has left the Lakehead Thunderwolves’ hockey team after signing a contract to play with the San Francisco Bulls of the ECHL next season.
“I’ve turned down pro opportunities in the past because I know the importance of education,” Judson said in a statement issued yesterday by the Thunderwolves.
“But San Francisco is a perfect fit and a great opportunity for me to contribute to their team immediately,” he noted.
“I’m looking forward to the next step in my life, and I wish the ’Wolves the best of luck in the future.”
The 22-year-old Judson was coming off a strong freshman campaign for the Thunderwolves, finishing third in team scoring with 22 goals and 13 assists.
The Bulls, who finished in eighth place in the ECHL’s Western Conference last season, are entering their second year of operations.
They are an affiliate of the NHL’s San Jose Sharks.
