Jodi Judd’s rink successfully defended its crown at the annual Fort Francees ladies’ bonspiel over the weekend.
Judd downed Mary Beth Tkachuk 7-4 in Sunday’s final for her second-straight title.
Judd’s road to the championship included wins over Kris Sinclair, Roz Broman, Sylvia Smeeth, and Tirzah Keffer.
Tkachuk, meanwhile, earned a berth in the ‘A’ final by beating Bonnie Broman, Kim Roy, and Sandra Robertson.
In the ‘B’ final on Sunday, Flo Chartrand edged Tammy Lamb 7-5 while Roz Broman took the ‘C’ title with a 10-2 romp over Bonnie Broman.
This year’s bonspiel did attract 24 teams, filling the draw yet again after a last-minute reminder that spots were still open.
