Initial Hewitt Cup meeting planned

It’s time to get the ball rolling in preparation for one of the highest profile amateur hockey tournaments in the province.
The Borderland Thunder will host the Dudley Hewitt Cup on April 20-27 but the initial planning session is set for Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Elks Hall.
The public is welcome to attend and get involved.
The Dudley Hewitt Cup will pit the host Thunder against the champions of the Ontario Provincial Junior ‘A’ Hockey League (OPJHL), the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL), and the Superior International Junior Hockey League (SIJHL).
Should the Thunder win the SIJHL crown, the runner-up will get the league’s berth.
The Dudley Hewitt Cup winner will earn a berth in the Royal Bank Cup—the national junior championship—set for May 3-11 in Charlottetown, P.E.I.
