The Muskie senior and junior boys’ basketball squads made a statement Tuesday night.
Both went to Baudette and returned home with convincing exhibition victories over the Lake of the Woods Bears.
The seniors coasted to a 66-36 win, getting 21 points from Jeremy Strain, 16 from Garnet Cornell, and 10 from Justin Anderson.
The juniors, meanwhile, got a scorching 36 points from Joey Ballan en route to a 48-38 win. Dustin Eyolfson chipped in with 12.
The juniors next see action at the Kenora invitational tournament on the final weekend of the month after the exam break.
Both Muskie squads, who sit atop the NorWOSSA standings with perfect 4-0 records, don’t resume league play until Feb. 5 in Kenora.
