The Muskie senior boys’ basketball team squandered a 10-point second-quarter lead and never recovered en route to a 68-64 loss to the St. Ignatius Falcons yesterday at the Tiger Tip-Off Tournament in Thunder Bay.
Head coach Paul Noonan cited the black-and-gold’s lack of rebounding as a major factor in the loss.
Jeremy Strain led the black-and-gold with 22 points while Travis Stromness finished second with 14 points. Morgan Anderson and Garnet Cornell each added 10 points.
The Muskies were slated to play their final game of the tournament today at 3 p.m. against the Nipigon Lakers.
