Strong winds and gusts prevailed as Colin Hewitt won another first place in the Rendezvous Yacht Club’s race last night.
This race was not as close as the last few, with Colin and crew sailing in “Ariba” well enough to finish almost a full minute ahead of his season long competitor, Todd Hamilton in “Through”.
Bob Algie’s “Kemosabi” Ranger 23 was third. Finishing out the race were Jack Bartlett in “Mad Hatter”, Bob Hamilton in “Salty Dog”, and Quinn McCarthy in “Sedna”. For those hoping to see a race, there’s only a couple more chances.
Next Wednesday will be the last race in the Wednesday Night Fall Series. The last race of the season will be the Pumpkin Cup held on Saturday, Sept. 15.
