In recent Atom hockey action, the Emo Hawks clawed their way to a 4-2 victory over the Emo Selects in recent Atom hockey action there.
Terry Carmody netted a pair of goals to pace the Hawks, with Tyler Cottam and Chris Mutz notching the others. Luc Judson and Ryan Witherspoon replied for the Selects.
In Novice play, the Emo Rockets skated all over the Emo Wings en route to a 4-0 victory. Kurtis Hill and Ryan Kaemingh each tallied twice to lead the Rockets.
With all scoring in the third period, the Emo Bantam Cowboys nipped visiting Canadian Tire (Fort Frances) 2-1. Hyatt and Trevor Smith scored for the Cowboys while Tyler Pocock averted the shutout with just five seconds to play.
Finally, six different players scored as Tagg’s (Fort Frances) earned a 6-4 win over the Emo Midget Blues.
Greg Flewelling, Tanner Kaemingh, Jordan Wilson, Mike Niskala, Scott Bridgeman, and Kyle McTavish all netted goals for Tagg’s, with Donald Kellar (two), Matt Meyers, and Jeff Friesen replying for the Blues.
