A small change in his score meant no change in Tyson Morrisseau’s final position.
The Muskie golfer carded an 11-over-par 83 yesterday—a one-shot improvement from his opening round score—to finish at 23-over 167 and in a four-way tie for 76th place at the OFSAA boys’ golf championship in Port Elgin.
Luke Gavin from the St. Peter’s Panthers (Barrie) took the gold by being the only player to finish under par with a two-day total of two-under 142.
Morrisseau got off to a shaky start yesterday—bogeying the par-five 12th hole before getting a double-bogey on the par-four 13th.
He settled down with two pars after that, but then bogeyed Nos. 16 and 17 and double-bogeyed the par-four 18th.
Heading back to No. 1, Morrisseau parred three of the next four holes, with a birdie on the par-four 3rd thrown in.
But then it was back to troubled times as he bogeyed the next four holes.
He then parred Nos. 9 and 10 before finishing with a bogey on the 11th hole.
Morrisseau finished tied for 54th at OFSAA last year.
