Action is in full swing in the Fort Frances Girls’/Women’s Hockey Association.
Here is a rundown of game results from the past few weeks:
The Fort Frances PeeWee Lightning battled the Fort Frances PeeWee Fusion to a 4-4 tie.
Savannah McGinnis and Jorja Pope scored for the Lightning while Abbie Kenny and Kayleigh Walton replied for the Fusion.
The Fort Frances Atom Black Panthers routed Emo 12-0
Courtney McCoy led the attack with five goals while Julia Guertin and Logan McPherson each netted a pair.
Kiera Fairnington, Jersey Rose, and Lara Allan added singles.
Maddy Bliss earned the shutout.
Meanwhile, the Fort Frances Atom Dynamite blanked the Black Panthers 2-0.
Kassidy Gurniak and Piper Miller were the goal scorers, with Harper Gunderson getting the shutout.
The Dynamite then romped to a 16-1 win over the Emo Express.
Miller had six goals to lead the offensive outburst while Eva Gerstner added five and Marissa Kenny four.
Emma Bodnarchuk notched the Dynamite’s other goal.
The goal scorer for the Express was not provided.
The Express also came out on the short end of a 6-1 score to the Fusion.
Abbie Kenny (2), Makenna Hill, Kayleigh Walton, Katarina Malgo, and Ellayna Kabel tallied for the Fusion.
Emo’s goal scorer was not provided.
As well, the Black Panthers battled the Dynamite to a 2-2 tie.
Courtney McCoy and Julia Guertin scored for the Black Panthers while Kassidy Gurniak netted both Dynamite goals.
Fort Frances Midget Screaming Eagles tied the Fort Frances Midget Snipers 1-1 (goal scorers not provided).
And the Fort Frances PeeWee Leafs blanked the Fort Frances Bantam Thunder 4-0 (goal scorers not provided).
