Due to the previously scheduled Borderland Thunder game at the Ice for Kids Arena tomorrow night, the Muskie boys’ hockey team will open their best-ofthree NorWOSSA final against the Dryden Eagles at 4 p.m. on Friday.
“Otherwise, we’d have to go at the same time as the Thunder and I don’t know which is worse,” said Muskie head coach Shane Bliss.
As reported in yesterday’s Times, the black-and-gold advanced after beating Kenora 5-1 there on Tuesday night to sweep their best-of-three semi-final series.
Kurtis Wepruk had a hat trick to propel the Muskies into the final. David Pierce and Steven Sus netted the other goals.
Mike McLaughlin got Kenora’s lone goal.
The Muskies had opened with an 8-1 win here last Friday. Jason Green was in goal for both wins.
