Paul Fraser’s rink from St. Mary’s Church took top honours Saturday at the 42nd-annual Church Bonspiel, which involved participation from churches in both Fort Frances and International Falls.
Fraser’s rink included Frank Ball, Neil Whitefield, and Harold Huntley.
Following up in second place was the Isaac Keffer foursome from Zion Lutheran Church, which also included Tirzah Keffer, Samantha Mueller, and Cody Heyens.
It appeared from the enthusiastic response of the 12 participating teams that having the event on a Saturday, instead of during the week, definitely was more favourable and very likely next year’s event will be planned similarily.
