Former local hockey players honoured

The North Iowa Outlaws’ players, coaches, and support staff were joined by relatives and friends for the team’s inaugural awards banquet held Sunday evening (March 19) in Clear Lake.
Steve McLeod, from Atikokan, earned two honours for the Outlaws’ first season—Offensive Most Valuable Player and Team MVP.
McLeod averaged a point per game this season, leading the team in assists with 36 and goals.
Meanwhile, captain Cody Mosbeck, of Emo, was named the Outlaws’ Defensive Most Valuable Player.
Mosbeck had been the steadying force in the team’s defensive corps, playing in all but one of North Iowa’s games this season.
