Former Aquanauts making waves

Fort Frances native Heather Dutton continues to do well in the pool for the University of Lethbridge.
The second-year kinesiology student recently qualified for the Canadian Interuniversity Sports’ swimming championships with a clocking of 2:24.10 in the 200 m butterfly event.
Dutton continues to improve her times and is looking forward to her second trip to the CIS championships, which are being held Feb. 22-24 at Dalhousie University in Halifax.
Meanwhile, another former Aquanaut is burning up the lanes in eastern Ontario.
Karli McKinnon, a first-year journalism student at Carleton University in Ottawa, has had a fabulous start to her rookie season with the Ravens—posting a number of personal best times in the 50m, 100m, and 200m freestyle events at a recent meet at the University of Guelph.
Both former teammates will take less than a week off during the Christmas break before heading back to their respective training camps to prepare for the big meets facing them in the second half of the season.
