Both games scheduled in the Borderland Women’s Indoor Soccer League ended up as forfeits last night at Fort High, making it three games in the past two weeks that have gone by the boards.
The defending champion Main Street Mayhem won by forfeit over the Boston Pizza Ball Blasters, who saw their four-game winning streak end.
The Wright’s Physiotherapy Rockettes, meanwhile, notched their second-consecutive forfeit win when the U15 Borderland Lightning couldn’t field enough players.
Boston Pizza continues to lead the standings with a 5-2 mark.
The Mayhem (4-2-1) are in second, followed by the Rockettes (3-3-1) and the Lightning (1-6).
The Mayhem are slated to face the Lightning next Wednesday at 7 p.m.
The Ball Blasters and Rockettes will follow at 8:15 p.m.
