With the season officially in the books, it was time to hand out some hardware.
The Muskie football team held its annual awards banquet Monday night at the Copper River Inn.
Taking home the Paul Renaud Most Valuable Player award was wide receiver Riley Argue.
Argue had a stellar season, pacing the Muskies to a 4-2 record in the seven-team Currie Division (‘A’) as he finished first in catches (21), second in receiving yards (388), and third in yards-per-catch (18.5).
He also scored five touchdowns.
Colten Allen caused enough havoc along the defensive line to capture the Reece Scofield Memorial Award for being the Muskies’ outstanding defensive player.
The Marc DeGagne Memorial Award for outstanding contribution went to Jaykob Ryll while Aaron Scheibler was named lineman-of-the-year.
Carson Noga earned the special teams’ player-of-the-year honours while the rookie-of-the-year award was shared by Braden Bodnarchuk and Jacob Argue.
