The Muskie senior girls’ volleyball team saw its time at the OFSAA championship in Amherstburg come to an end with a four-set loss to Sydenham in the consolation side quarter-finals yesterday afternoon.
The set scores were 20-25, 24-26, 25-16, and 19-25.
Fort High compiled a 1-3 record in Pool ‘A’ play after losing their final game of round-robin play yesterday morning in straight sets to Mother Teresa (17-25/18-25) to finish fourth and wind up on the consolation side of the bracket.
The semi-finals and both the bronze-medal and gold-medal games were slated to go today.
The Muskies had qualified for the all-Ontarios by sweeping the St. Ignatius Falcons (Thunder Bay) 2-0 in the best-of-three NWOSSAA championship that was held at Fort High back on Feb. 22-23.
