It was an impressive start to the season for Devlin’s Jamie Davis.
Competing in his #85 car, Davis nabbed the checkered flag in the WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds feature race in Borderland Racing Association action Saturday night at the Emo Speedway.
Dayton Brady of Devlin finished second, followed by Fort Frances drivers Cody Ossachuk and Gavin Paull.
Brady sits second in the points standings (211), just one back of Ossachuk.
James Lambert of Fort Frances sits third (186) while Bob Gaudet of Thunder Bay is fourth (183).
Davis also was impressive in the WISSOTA Modifieds feature, this time racing in his #4D car, as he finished in second place just behind Paull.
Brad Loveday of International Falls took third while Brady Caul of Fort Frances was fourth.
Despite his finish, Caul still leads the points standings with 203, four up on Paull.
Jeff Davis of Devlin occupies third spot (196).
Tylar Wilson, meanwhile, is proving he’s the one to beat so far in the Street Stocks division.
The Fort driver nabbed his second-straight checkered flag Saturday night and now leads all racers with 221 points.
Kevin Desserre of Dryden placed second while Jesse Thompson of Emo was third.
Thompson sits second in the points standings with 190, just one up on Paul Hari.
Racing resumes this Saturday, with hot laps at 7 p.m. and the first heat at 7:30 (weather permitting).
