Figure skaters pass test day

Facing the pressure of their first regional test day of the season, members of the Border Figure Skating Club passed in more ways than one here last weekend.
“It was an absolutely excellent weekend,” enthused BFSC co-coach Penny McComb. “We hope for 100 percent passes and we got close to 90 percent.”
Comprised of skaters from Fort Frances, International Falls, Emo, and Rainy River, McComb said club members did a fantastic job performing–many for the first time–in front of a single judge.
Two more tests days will be available for skaters to try to pass later this season in Dryden and Kenora. The BFSC also will attend a regional inter-club competition in Atikokan in January.
