The Fort Frances Girls Hockey Association handed out the hardware at its annual awards banquet last night.
The league presented awards to players on 12 teams, ranging from the Timbit level through to Midget.
The Timbits, coached by Darwin and Michelle Woods, recognized five players.
Kamryn Singleton was named MVP, Sydney Korkala was most dedicated, Macey McMillen was most improved, Mackenna Bruyere was most sportsmanlike, and Marti Woods received the Larry Tucker “Rookie of the Year” award.
For the Kaemingh Esso Atom squad, coached by Ron MacKinnon, Garry Noga, and Lorne Jackson, four players went home with trophies.
Carly McKinnon captured the MVP award while Hailey Tucker was the most dedicated recipient. Danielle Cridland was most improved and Maighyn DeGagne was most sportsmanlike.
Also in the Atom division were the Rolling Lake Lightning, coached by Pat Langtry and Pete LeDrew.
Annalise Hayes received the MVP honours while Abby Plourde was named most dedicated, Marissa Loveday most improved, and Madison Botford most sportsmanlike.
The Dynamic Homes Hurricanes, the Atom competitive team coached by Garry Noga, Ron MacKinnon, Jessica Barker, and Lorne Jackson, recognized its best.
The MVP was Emma Noga, most dedicated was Harleigh Brow-Rose, most improved was Abby Plourde, and most sportsmanlike was Alyssa Alderson.
Moving up to PeeWee, Super 8, coached by John Pierce and Stuart McIvor, handed out four awards.
The MVP nod went to Abbi Perreault, most dedicated to Amber Jourdain, most improved to Claire Tibbs, and most sportsmanlike to Cassandra Moffitt.
The Lakewood Tire Eagles, coached by Dave Taggart, Greg Johnson, and Tracey Coran, noted four winners, as well.
Amy Penner was the MVP, Kate Parsons was most dedicated, most improved was Keira Singleton, and most sportsmanlike was Rachel Jean.
The competitive Nor-Fab Flames were coached by Hannah Firth, Shane Jourdain, Trevor McKinnon, and Matt Weir,
Amber Jourdain took home the MVP honours while Jessica Coran was most dedicated, Amy Penner was most improved, and Kate Parsons was most sportsmanlike.
In the Bantam division, the BDO Stars were coached by Larry Beck and Lorne Jackson.
Shilo Beck was recognized as the MVP, with Katie Sinclair earning the most dedicated nod. Libby Paleczny was the most improved player while Amber Morrison was most sportsmanlike.
The Energy Fitness Wild, coached by Scott Clendenning, saw Shelby Rea capture the MVP honours. Hailey Clendenning was most dedicated. Angie Cole was most improved, and Jessica Robinson was most sportsmanlike.
The Bantam division also boasted a competitive team, the Fort Frances 14U Leafs, coached by Larry Beck and Scott Clendenning.
Shelby Rea, Hailey Clendenning, and Jessica Robinson repeated as MVP, most dedicated, and most sportsmanlike, respectively, while Liz Henderson was named most improved.
And at the Midget level, the Pharmasave Wildcats, coached by Michelle Veldhuisen, Barb Galusha, and Jim Ward, saluted four top players.
Paige Ward earned the MVP trophy, Cassie McLennan was most dedicated, Megan Beacham was most improved, and Tressa Galusha was most sportsmanlike.
Doug Kitowski Trucking, coached by Vince Gouin, Harry Morriseau, and Troy Magill, also played in the Midget division.
Bailey Langford was named MVP, Mackenzie Paxson was most dedicated, Taylor Gouin and Halle Shypit split the most improved player award, and Julie Magill was most sportsmanlike.
