FFCBC coming together

Press Release

The summer months are drawing ever closer—and the Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship is gearing up for an even better year than the last.
The tournament, presented by Sunset Country Ford, is hard at work ensuring a great week of fishing for the tournament entrees and a great lineup of entertainment for everyone.
Of course, there will be the usual performances to see—from “Quest for the Best” to the MuchMusic teen dance.
“Quest,” as usual, will showcase the vocal talent of our community while the teen dance will feature door prizes and music for the area’s youth to come out and enjoy.
Joining the lineup will be “Damian the Hypnotist,” as well as many local bands.
But the fun isn’t reserved solely for the spectators; the anglers can become involved in more ways, as well.
First, through the “Kid-Pro” tournament happening again this year and then the annual “Parade of Boats,” which will take place the evening before the tournament opens.
“The entire board is working extremely hard right now to ensure a great season,” said chairman Gord Watson.
“We’re looking to make this tournament as affordable and fun for everyone as we can,” he stressed.
“We hope to see everyone out there.”
As an added bonus, Shaw Cable will be broadcasting the tournament and its highlights (more details to follow).
The official tournament schedule will be released soon.
