Alina Eldridge shone brighter than the lights she was playing under.
Eldridge exploded for a hat trick to lead Breakaway Fashionista to a 6-2 thumping of Glitter Gals in the Borderland Soccer Fall League women’s division Monday night at the east-end rink.
Sara Kellar added a pair of goals while an own goal by the Glitter Gals capped the scoring for the victors.
Tara MacEachern and Rebecca Selman replied for Glitter Gals.
The opening game of the evening, scheduled between Pink Lightning and Kick Chicks, turned into a scrimmage due to a lack of players, with the group featuring Abby Sanders grabbing a 4-1 decision.
Sanders was on her game, netting three goals, while Alyssa Holliday added another for the winning side.
Heather Wright had the lone goal for her squad.
