The Emo Rockets salvaged a 3-3 tie with the Times Tigers (Fort Frances) in recent minor hockey action at the Emo arena.
The Rockets had held a 3-2 lead heading into the final minute of the third period but Eric Duffy, assisted by Ben Bruyere, netted the tying goal.
Andrew Gobeil also netted goals in the first and second period for the Tigers while Matt McDonald, Kurtis Hill, and Carlee Bosma replied for the Rockets.
Meanwhile, Tagg’s (Fort Frances) crossed sticks with the host Emo OPP and skated away with a 3-1 victory. Tagg’s got all their goals in the first period from Matt Moen (two) and Patrick Bobczynski.
Cody Drennan saved the OPP from the whitewash in the second.
Finally, the Emo Wings were blanked 4-0 by the visiting Foodtown Fury (Fort Frances). After a scoreless first, Colin Barton and Jason Rose hit the twine for the visitors in the second period.
Rose and Brant Witherspoon iced the game with goals in the third.
