Kurtis Hill scored two first-period goals to help the Emo Rockets blank Emo OPP in recent Novice minor hockey action.
Meanwhile, visiting West End Motors (Fort Frances) scored once in each period to squeak past the Emo Wings 3-2.
Shane Beck, Nathan Calder, and Jordan Sinclair tallied for the winners while Louren Krukoski netted both goals for Emo.
In other action, Brett Meyers scored twice to help Emo Gillons’ to a 5-3 victory over the Emo Predators in PeeWee action. Tyson Quibell, Jake Esselink, and Tyson Romyn netted the other goals.
Kevin Friesen, Dennis Mutz, and Jamie DeGagne replied for the Predators.
In Bantam play, visiting Fort Frances jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the first period but Emo battled back in the second frame with three unanswered goals to knot the score at 4-4.
And that’s the way it ended after a scoreless third period.
Scott Grynol (two), Rick Ricard, and Ed Calder scored for Fort Frances while Greg Hartlin (two), Curtis Galusha, and Travis Strachan were Emo’s snipers.
Finally, in Midget action, a fired up Emo Blues squad sent Fort Frances home nursing a 7-2 loss.
Emo grabbed a 3-0 first-period lead on goals by Jeff Friesen (two) and Cole Kaemingh, and never looked back.
Friesen later netted two more goals while Matt Meyers added a pair. Green and Rose tallied for the visitors.
