Emo pucksters win four of six

Emo minor hockey teams had a good week on home ice, winning four of six games played there.
In PeeWee action, the Emo Predators split their games, opening with a 4-1 win over the Emo Thunderbolts.
Ryan Mutz, Kevin Friesen, Kyle Kuzyk and Craig McTavish all scored for the Predators while Brett Meyers netted the Thunderbolts’ lone goal.
But the Predators then were stopped 8-1 by the Baudette Bears. McTavish tallied their lone goal.
Meanwhile, the Thunderbolts rebounded from their loss to the Predators with six goals in the first period en route to a convincing 7-1 win over visiting Lake of the Woods.
Meyers and Devon Allison led the way with a pair of goals each while Brock Benjamin, Nathan Brigham, and Tyson Quibell added singles.
In Bantam action, the Emo Cowboys skated past the Oddfellows (Fort Frances) 4-1 on goals by David Goodman (two), Greg Hartlin, and Curtis Galusha.
Moose Kellar netted the Oddfellows’ lone goal.Fort Frances.
The following night, the Cowboys erased a 2-0 deficit to edge Holmlund’s (Fort Frances) 4-3. Trevor Smith, Curtis Galusha, Daniel Hettinga, and Jason Webb scored for Emo.
Tanner Ward (two) and Tyler Shannon replied for Holmlund’s.
Finally, the Emo Midgets once again were singing the Blues after being upended 7-2 by the OPP (Fort Frances).
Tucker had the hat trick for the OPP while Ryan Smith (two), Damien Allan, and Jon Yellowega also scored. Jeff Friesen and Joel McCoy replied for Emo.
