Scott Grynol scored with just over a minute left in the first period to pace the KCs (Fort Frances) to a 1-0 victory against the Emo Predators in recent PeeWee ‘AA’ action.
Both teams pressed during the second and third periods but neither one could score.
The Predators lost their second game at the hands of the Emo Cowboys, who got goals from Donald Kellar (two) and Blackburde.
But the Emo Panthers had no problem with visiting Fort Frances, scoring once in each period en route to a 3-0 victory. Daniel Hettinga led the way with two goals while J.J. Landry netted the other one.
Meanwhile, in Atom action, the Emo Esso Leafs jumped out to a big lead, then hung on to nip Rainy River 3-2. Ryan York, Nathan DeBungee, and Tyler Kinnear scored for Emo while Jason Yeo and Ronnie Ernst replied for Rainy River.
Finally, the Emo Rockets netted two goals late in the third period to nip Emo OPP 6-5 in Novice play. Six different Rockets scored (their names were not available) while T.J. Roen (two), Terry Carmody, Riley Caul, and Matt Beck tallied in a losing cause.
